Max Staines is the North Americas President for Compass Management Consulting.

Max brings 20 years of diverse management experience in technology consulting and enterprise application software. Prior to joining Compass in August of 2005, Max was Vice President of Sales for Compuware's Changepoint Business Unit, a leading provider of enterprise application software for automating, integrating and optimizing the business processes of corporate IT departments and professional services organizations. Before his tenure with Compuware, Max played a key role in establishing Compass' Canadian operation in the 1990s, leading the company to tremendous growth. From 1988 to 1994, Max held increasingly senior positions with IBM, where he worked closely with clients to improve their business results through innovative technology solutions.

A respected industry expert, Max is a regular speaker on business performance improvement through IT governance, and has been a regular contributor to IT publications across North America including CIO Magazine, Computerworld, and has also made several appearances as a guest on television news programs discussing CEO's perceptions of IT as a strategic enabler.
